Some Birds

Tuiuiu, our state bird. A majestic figure almost 3 feet tall. There were thousands nesting by the old road side,(now there is a modern highway) now they have scatted and are off to more remote places, hopefully nesting and procriating.

Your wonderland awaiting.

This bird (looks like an ostrich) is called ema and he catches snakes and small animals. Many farms are full of them.

Once in a lifetime.

These are called garcas.

What would the Pantanal be without a "garbage collector"?

His name is carcara, and he cleans up the dead animals and fish.

Some rare species.

This bird is near extinction, and called TUCANO.
You can still see a few. Rare and beautiful!!!

You can see all these quite easily.

Here is a flight of tuiuiu

These Blue Macau called Arara Azul is almost extint too, but then you will see some here.

There are 600 more species to see out here.
